Privacy Policy

Clippost is a Chrome extension that captures the page you are looking at and helps you turn it into social drafts (X / Xiaohongshu) using a model provider you configure. We do not run a Clippost account system. This policy describes what happens on your device and what leaves it.

1. Data Clippost handles

Depending on how you use the extension, Clippost may store or process:

Page URL, title, selected text, and extracted article or post text
Optional captured media (images) you keep in the on-device library
Style recipes (prompts), generation drafts, and history
Settings, including the API key, base URL, and model name you paste in Settings

This data is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage on your computer (chrome.storage.local / session). Clippost does not operate a backend that receives your library, styles, or API keys.

2. What is sent over the network

When you generate or analyze text, Clippost sends the captured material plus your style instructions to the model HTTP endpoint you configured (for example a DeepSeek-compatible /chat/completions URL). The request includes your API key as a Bearer token to that provider only.

Clippost does not bundle an API key in the store build. If you do not paste a key, generation does not run.

Other network use:

Fetching images from the current page when you capture media (to store a local copy)
Opening X or Xiaohongshu compose pages you choose

Clippost does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters in the published extension.

3. Permissions

storage — save styles, settings, library, and drafts on this device
activeTab / scripting / host access to websites you visit — read the current page so capture and the overlay can work
sidePanel / contextMenus — open Clippost from the toolbar or a text selection
clipboardWrite — copy a draft when you ask
downloads — save captured media to disk when you turn that option on

Clippost needs access to the pages you capture. It does not modify checkout forms, passwords, or payment flows.

4. Who we share with

We do not sell your data. The only third parties that receive content you generate with are the model provider(s) you configure. Their privacy terms apply to that traffic. Clippost’s publishers do not receive a copy of those requests.

5. Retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete library items, clear extension data in Chrome, or uninstall Clippost. Uninstalling removes Chrome storage for the extension.

6. Children

Clippost is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Clippost 是一款 Chrome 扩展：捕获你正在看的网页，并按你配置的模型，写成 X / 小红书草稿。我们没有 Clippost 账号体系。本政策说明数据在你这台电脑上如何处理、何时离开设备。

1. 处理哪些数据

页面网址、标题、选中文本、抽取的正文
你保存在本地素材库中的图片
风格配方（提示词）、生成草稿与历史
设置，包括你在设置里粘贴的 API key、Base URL 和模型名

以上内容保存在本机 Chrome 扩展存储中。Clippost 没有服务器来接收你的素材库、风格或 API key。

2. 何时会联网

你点击生成 / 分析时，扩展会把捕获内容和风格说明发送到你自己填写的模型接口（例如 DeepSeek 兼容的 chat completions）。请求只用该服务商的 Bearer token，不会发到 Clippost 自己的后台。

商店版不内置 API key。没填写 key 时无法生成。

其他联网：捕获媒体时从当前页拉取图片副本；你选择打开 X 或小红书发帖页。

已发布的扩展不含第三方统计、广告 SDK 或崩溃上报。

3. 权限用途

storage：在本机保存风格、设置、素材和草稿
activeTab / scripting / 访问你打开的网站：读取当前页以便捕获和显示浮层
sidePanel / contextMenus：从工具栏或选中文字打开 Clippost
clipboardWrite：按你的操作复制草稿
downloads：你开启选项时把媒体存到磁盘

扩展需要读取你要改写的页面，不会改支付或密码表单。

4. 分享

我们不出售数据。唯一可能收到生成内容的第三方，是你配置的模型服务商，适用对方的隐私条款。Clippost 运营方收不到这些请求的副本。

5. 保存与删除

数据留在本机，直到你删除素材、在 Chrome 中清除扩展数据，或卸载扩展。卸载会删除该扩展的 Chrome 存储。

6. 儿童

本产品不以 13 岁以下儿童为对象，也不会故意收集其数据。

7. 变更

政策更新时会改上方日期并发布本页。继续使用即表示接受更新后的政策。
